Insurers and brokers for heritage homes
Owners of heritage and older homes often struggle to find coverage. These are the insurers and programs heritage organizations name as experienced with them. They are not endorsements; we have no relationship with any of them. Get several quotes, and see the insurance guide and the letter for your insurer on each property page.
- National Trust for Canada: Heritage Home Insurance Program (with Marsh Private Client Services): A broker program for National Trust members that covers designated heritage properties, historic homes and older residences across Canada. Members call 1-877-476-6727 or apply online. Named by National Trust for Canada; Insurance Bureau of Canada.
- Square One: heritage home insurance: A home insurer with a policy for heritage homes, sold online and by phone in Ontario. Named by The Niagara Foundation.
- Ecclesiastical Insurance: A specialist in heritage buildings, mostly those owned by organizations: places of worship, museums and other cultural institutions. Named by The Niagara Foundation.
