Ask council to protect 4878 Jepson St

Council decides which listed buildings get a notice of intention to designate before January 1, 2027. We draft the letter with the buildings named; you make it personal and send it from your own email. We don't send anything.

Subject: Please protect 4878 Jepson St (Christian Reform Church) before January 1

Dear Councillor,

I live in Niagara Falls.

I am writing about 4878 Jepson St (Christian Reform Church). It is listed on the municipal heritage register, and unless council issues a notice of intention to designate it, it comes off the register on January 1, 2027 and can't be listed again for five years.

Please ask staff to bring it forward for designation, and support a notice of intention to designate it before the deadline.

Could you let me know where you stand?

Thank you,

Ontario's municipal election is on October 26, 2026. Send the same letter to the candidates in your ward and ask where they stand.

The buildings are the highest-priority at-risk listed buildings in the area (threat, what the register records, and time left). Not legal advice.
