Longer version

On January 1, 2027, listed heritage buildings across Ontario come off municipal registers unless council acts first. The Patina Record is a free public map of every property's heritage status, with its source and date, and email alerts when a building you follow comes up at council or has a permit filed: https://thepatinarecord.ca/

Look up any address to see its status and where that comes from. Follow your town, a ward, a street or a single building, and get an email when something changes. Volunteers can build a research record to help make the case for designation, and owners will find a plain-language guide to what listing and designation mean, including insurance.

It's free and run independently; every record links to the municipal register it comes from. 80 days are left before the deadline.
