The old Lynden United Church is of historical importance, in having been a centre of worship for 75 years, serving two early branches of Methodism from 1884, when they united, as well as much later, the former Presbyterian congregation. It’s architectural importance derives from the dignified Italianate Style, representative of the central place of the Church in the prosperous community of 1870.Statement of cultural heritage value, from City of Hamilton — Heritage Properties
