Built in 1890, this two-storey red brick dwelling, located at 190 University, is of cultural heritage value and interest because of its physical/design values. The property has physical/design value. Character defining elements that reflect this value include its scale and massing. Other elements reflecting its physical/design value include its red brick two-storey, gable roof construction, angled single storey bay with three windows, bracketed cornice and narrow hipped roof edged iron cresting. The entrance located on the right hand side of the facade is characterized by an arched transom. All windows of the house are arch topped.From the municipal heritage register
